Álvaro Morte talks in 'El Hormiguero' about the traits for which he believes he is dealing with attention deficit

Álvaro Morte is one of the best-known actors of the television after-dinner scene in Spain. Despite debuting in 2002 in the Telecinco series Hospital Central, his greatest role in the audiovisual industry was the role of Lucas Moliner in Antena 3's El secreto de Puente Viejo, with a total of 535 episodes. More recently, the character that has allowed him to become known worldwide is 'The Professor' Sergio Marquina, from Money Heist.

However, this 2024 it will appear on the big screen thanks to the film Immaculate, a horror film starring and produced by Sydney Sweeney, which premieres in Spain on May 1. The interpreter from Algeciras has gone to El Hormiguero, the Antena 3 nighttime program presented by Pablo Motos, to talk about the film and discover some particular details about his life.

Among them, the presenter asked him about the attention deficit traits he presents. ADHD is a condition that is increasingly present in society: according to the organization CAT Barcelona, between 3 and 7% of the child population is diagnosed, and it is increasingly common to detect it in adults who have not been properly checked. little ones. Morte would not be in this range, since he is not officially diagnosed.

Despite this, he recognizes that some behaviors and behaviors he presents coincide with the nomenclature, so he suspects that he also shares the condition. One of the traits that he has identified is hyperfocus, which in a job like acting allows him to isolate himself and memorize scripts more precisely. He himself recognizes that this characteristic explains his particular learning method.

Motos has shared with viewers a screenshot that the actor published through his Instagram profile. It is a sheet that summarized a scene from the last chapter of Money Heist, full of annotations and, particularly, pictograms. Morte himself assured that it was much more comfortable for him to remember scripts and scenes if he converted them into small, more explanatory drawings.

During the interview, he also praised the duality of his character in Immaculate, the priest Sal Tedeschi: “He is a guy who starts Biology, until at a given moment he finds the path of faith and goes the other way. But that mind is still there. When it comes to analyzing the events that happen around you, that makes you see things from a very different perspective.”
