King Charles III calls for understanding in his recorded Easter message: "We must serve and care for each other"

King Charles III has reappeared after the controversies that the British royal family has faced in recent months. This was the first institutional message, even if it was recorded, from the monarch after announcing that he is suffering from cancer and it took place at the ceremony at Worcester Cathedral.

Queen Camilla has been in charge of presiding over this event, but all eyes have been on the son of Elizabeth II. Initially, the king wanted to put on the table the importance of friendship and understanding "especially in times of need."

This message, which was very brief, came to light hours earlier, since the king himself wanted to share it with the British press. An audio that has been recorded in Buckingham Palace itself and in which he wanted to use the Bible as an example. "Jesus set an example of how to serve and care for one another," he said.

"As a nation, we need and benefit greatly from those who reach out to us, especially in times of need," he added. Likewise, he has put on the table on several occasions how necessary the support that society can provide to itself is, for him: "We obtain a lot of good from those who extend the hand of friendship to us."

And as expected, the monarch did not want to refer to the cancer he suffers from or that of Kate Middleton. However, he did want to send the message that already served as his motto after the death of his mother: "I am here to serve, not to be served."

Queen Camilla, for her part, has taken on the role that Charles III should have adopted if he had been in good health: representative of the Church of England. This Maundy Thursday event, which is known in the United Kingdom as Royal Maudy, has been a tradition in the royal family since 1662.

A ceremony in which the monarch had to distribute donations to those present, to as many people as they are old, in this case, 75. This institutional event wants to commemorate the last supper of Jesus Christ and finally 75 coins have been distributed to 75 women and 75 men highlighted for their work in the United Kingdom, despite the king not being present.

On the other hand, it has been confirmed that Charles III will be seen at the Easter mass next Sunday in St. George's Chapel, located in Windsor Castle. A day in which Kate Middleton and Prince William will not be seen, who prefer to wait a little longer for the princess's first public appearance.
