Kelsey Grammer reveals the health problem she suffered after surfing

Kelsey Grammer returns to embody the character that brought her worldwide popularity. The new Frasier series is now available on SkyShowtime and tonight the protagonist of it went to present it at El Hormiguero. She where not only has she confessed her secrets after her new project, but she has also shown her most personal side of herself.

The actor has revealed his secret about how he has managed to play so many different roles after the success of Frasier. And it has been thanks to the fact that “I have rejected everything that resembled it.” Furthermore, he has explained the reason behind his tattoo and what it is like to act as a voice actor.

Grammer has also explained a health event that happened to him in 2008. “I was paddle surfing in Hawaii and I had traveled 2 miles,” the actor began to say. After paddling for a while, there is an exercise they do that consists of taking a stone and walking 30 feet deep.

After doing it, “like a warm-up exercise,” the actor explained that he returned with his board for breakfast and that was when “I started to feel dizzy and that's when I had a heart attack.” An unfortunate situation, as he explained, because “in Hawaii an ambulance takes 1 hour and a half to arrive.”

It turns out that surfing has been a passion of Kelsey Grammer since he was little. At only 13 years old he was already a surfer. And apparently the people who practice this sport feel something special, from what Pablo Motos has commented. Something that the actor has corroborated.

“The best way to explain it is to say that you are there and you are one with the ocean. You physically follow its rhythm and it is as if you were in the heartbeat of God and if you catch the wave…”, this is how Kelsey Grammer has confessed, through tears, what it feels like on a board.
