Kathy Griffin never loses her humor. The American actress and comedian recently underwent lip blushing, an aesthetic intervention that consists of a cosmetic tattoo that enhances the beauty of the natural color of the lips, improves their shape and enhances their definition. The end result is usually good, but the process is still tortuous for some like Griffin.
In a video posted on her Instagram account, she herself summarizes how the session went and assured that she was prepared to "not speak for three hours." After her, they put plastic over her mouth and start tattooing the whole area. She observes how her color has intensified, but the problem comes with the passing of minutes.
As time passes, Griffin's lips begin to swell. She herself jokes with "the second phase" of her intervention and shows the reactions of her friends and those close to her, who cannot hide her surprise and astonishment at seeing her.
As the humorist shows in a second video, the healing process has been somewhat tortuous. Her lips dilate to levels that she herself did not imagine. "What have you done to yourself? This is not real!” says actress Kristen Johnston. "Yes it is," she replies.
Griffin's followers couldn't believe it either. "End result is great but omg Kath," one person wrote, adding, "that first chance is being given to her by Kylie Jenner." Another user assured that “the final result looks fantastic, but the immediate swelling” scared her.
The American comedian is happy with the result. After four to six days, the swelling went down and lips looked much more natural, full and with the volume that she was looking for before undergoing her intervention.
