Jorge Javier confesses his problems with excess weight: "It bothered me that they called me fat"

The Catalan presenter Jorge Javier Vázquez has written a new entry on his blog from the beaches of Brazil, a country where he is enjoying a relaxing vacation. Although he wanted to make it clear in the text that he is extremely happy about the inauguration of Pedro Sánchez as President of the Government of our country, on this occasion he wanted to speak publicly about one of his greatest complexes: the weight.

Millions of people around the world suffer from body dysmorphia and live every day anxious about gaining a few 'extra' kilos or stepping out of the thin line in which society frames what is normative and what is not. Vázquez has acknowledged that, for the first time in his life, he is enjoying the beach without any major concern other than applying cream and protecting himself from the sun.

''Now that I don't appear on TV and that I don't have a project in sight, I live the physical issue in a more relaxed way,'' he explained in the lines, suggesting that public exposure makes both him and many celebrities live with agony the possibility of going wrong in stolen photos, of receiving fierce criticism for your image, etc.

Belén Esteban's friend wanted to make it clear that before he could not disconnect from worrying about his weight even when he was on vacation: ''I weighed myself every day and structured the day according to weight (...) The idea of coming back from vacation with a few extra kilos and being called fat.''

For the best man at Isa Pantoja's wedding, the problem went further. The obsession with his weight made her live her daily life with anxiety, as well as control his meals and avoid enjoying the pleasure of eating.

Using the excuse that he is in Rio de Janeiro, a place where people "go to bars at night in swimsuits" and where he is only one among millions, the communicator has launched into a reflection about how well Live far from media coverage: ''The liberation that comes from not subjecting yourself to the daily scrutiny of other people's eyes is healing.''

To finish his story, the La Fábrica de la Tele worker opened up and explained to his readers that he is now going through a good stage because he has learned to relativize and ignore judgmental comments: ''I see myself now better than ever. because it is also now when I care least about what they tell me.''
