Jesús Vázquez, broken after the death of Fernando Fernádez Tapias: "I am very affected"

Sad Wednesday for the family and loved ones of the Galician businessman Fernando Fernández Tapias. The tycoon died this morning at the age of 84, as confirmed by his friend Carlos Herrera on the radio program that he presents every morning.

Fernández Tapias was not unknown to all those who move in high places, since, in addition to having been a successful businessman, he was first vice president of Real Madrid.

During the 90s, the magnate became one of the best-known faces of the gossip press. Nicknamed 'Fefé', the one from Vigo monopolized dozens of magazine covers as a result of his famous romance with the model and presenter Mar Flores.

Although the man had been weak since the pandemic and had different coronary problems, his death has taken those around him by surprise. At the moment no details have been given about the cause of his death, but the media outlet Informalia has announced that Fernández had seven stents implanted in his heart.

With his death, the businessman leaves his wife, Nuria González, completely broken with pain, as well as his children. It should be said that, despite the criticism that González received for marrying a man 30 years older than her, their marriage of more than two decades and the care and support that she has given to Tapias in recent times have shown that their bond was more than genuine.

Although many well-known figures on the social scene mourn the death of the businessman today, the emotional state of Jesús Vázquez has attracted the attention of the media.

A friend of the couple, Vázquez has admitted before the microphones of various media outlets that he is very affected: ''I just found out and I'm a little shocked. This morning I didn't turn on the TV by chance, which I always do, and I haven't listened to the news.''

The presenter of Allá Tú, as kind and helpful to his colleagues as always, added in his speech that he couldn't say "much more" because he had just spoken with Nuria (the widow of the deceased).

''I am very affected (...) I love this family very much and I have spent many happy days in this house. They always welcomed us and I have known him for many years. To her since we were single kids, so imagine, a whole life (...) We were eating here a couple of weeks ago,'' Vázquez shared with tears in his eyes and a trembling voice.
