Jennifer Aniston recovers her most iconic black dress on 'The Morning Show'

Fans of Jennifer Aniston know that the black dress is her infallible bet when it comes to success on the red carpet. There have been many occasions in which the actress has dazzled with different styles of this design, from the strapless neckline to the lingerie version.

One of her most iconic looks is the Valentino dress that she debuted for the Golden Globe Awards in 2010. A piece created exclusively for her that stood out for its asymmetrical sweetheart neckline and its dizzying side slit in the skirt with which she showed its most suggestive side.

A creation that has been put on again 13 years later for one of the episodes of the third season of The Morning Show, the Apple TV series in which he stars alongside Reese Witherspoon. In the episode, titled Strict Scrutiny, Alex Levy, Aniston's character, attends a gala in support of the Fashion Institute of Technology's scholarship program. An event that is organized by Valentino, precisely the same house that signed the actress's dress in 2010.

As the executive producer of the series, Kristin Hahn, explains, it was Jennifer herself who suggested recovering one of her favorite designs. "Jennifer thought about the dress that (Pierpaolo Piccioli) had designed for her in 2010, and she loved that dress. She thought, 'Why not recreate that silhouette?'" she says.

But the actress is not wearing the same creation but is wearing a new version made by the creative director of the Italian brand himself. The designer reinvented the iconic design by introducing small pleated changes in the chest area and gathered fabric at the waist to stylize the silhouette of the unforgettable Rachel from Friends.

Piccioli makes an appearance in the episode and interacts with Aniston. "I had fun on set, I loved the energy, the atmosphere. Jennifer was an incredible host. She and the rest of the team were very supportive, and I felt very comfortable," she says.

In addition to this design, the chapter also features models with several of the looks from the Pink PP collection with which the Italian brand revolutionized street style last year and which gave way to the Barbiecore phenomenon of wearing pink from head to toe.
