Jaime Cantizano is honest about his role as the father of a child by surrogate pregnancy: "Several issues are mixed"

The adventure of Ana García Obregón in her second maternity revolutionized society in our country at all levels. The actress became a mother again thanks to surrogacy, a prohibited reproduction technique in Spain, once again putting on the table the moral and ethical conflict involved in using a surrogate mother to have her own child.

Jaime Cantizano is one of the national public figures who have resorted to this technique to become a father, and one of the few who has spoken out about this situation openly, defending his decision and the role of pregnant women, despite the fact that he has always tried to shield his personal life.

Cantizano became the father of his only son, Leo, in 2016. The presenter carried out the process alone, and has always defended this practice, ensuring that it is designed to help many people create their families.

The presenter was invited to the 60th birthday of Alaska, his partner in Por fin no es lunes on Onda Cero; where he wanted to expand on this issue once again, insisting that being a father has been "the best decision" that he has made in his life.

The presenter was asked again about the subject of Ana Obregón and her controversial decision to become the legal mother of her biological granddaughter, Ana Sandra, daughter of Aless Lequio. Cantizano wanted to be cautious with her responses, stating that on this topic "several issues are mixed" about what she experienced because she was her co-worker and friend.

"Several issues are mixed, one is surrogacy and then, there are other debates that are very present in television programs. But I greatly respect individual decisions," said the man from Jerez de la Frontera, who reiterated that for him the priority was the family and, specifically, the upbringing of his son.

The presenter thus shows great respect for the decisions of others, supporting his friend in such a sweet moment. As much perhaps as the one he is living himself, since he is "happy" to see how "all the pieces fit" in his personal life. His son, Leo, is already seven years old, and he's about to turn 50 at perfect timing.

"I am very much to reinforce the private part, the family, I have always marked it very well and that has helped me to enjoy it, to live well and to live calmly", he explains, when asked why he is so reserved with his life staff.

"Being a father is the best decision I've ever made," he insists, reiterating that despite being passionate about his work, his son Leo will always come first. "I have been dedicating myself to this for more than twenty years. Obviously I like the radio, I have continued to do television in a more reduced way, but for the last seven years being a father has been my main occupation."
