Itziar Castro's topless in support of Rocío Sainz: "I want to see the whole square in boobs"

Rocío Saiz has received a multitude of messages of encouragement since what happened at the Pride of Murcia. The singer and activist from Madrid saw her concert interrupted by the police, when an agent asked her to cover herself after she took off her shirt. The subsequent reactions, both from the Murcian police force and from the public assistants, revealed the rejection of what happened and the shows of support for Saiz. Something that was repeated in the capital.

During the MADO Madrid Pride celebration last Sunday, the Catalan actress Itziar Castro made an unannounced appearance on one of the various stages set up in the Spanish capital. The interpreter gave one of the surprises of the evening by going out topless with the name of Rocío written on her chest and the phrase "we are with you" behind her back. An initiative that received a standing ovation from the public present.

Castro came out on stage in this way with the clear intention of showing his support for Rocío Saiz after what happened in Murcia, just before her concert. “I want to see the whole square in boobs. Come on, let's go, let's all go, ”she yelled into the microphone, before starting a loud chorus with the name of the singer. The winner of a Goya for her participation in 'Vis a vis' was also in charge of presenting her, something that generated great applause and cheers when the Madrilenian woman entered the stage.

After this unexpected show of support, the concert went on as normal. There was no mention of the events of the previous week, something that did happen during his performance last Saturday in Elda, Alicante. After finishing the song Como yo te amo, Saiz got rid of her shirt and was carried on the shoulders of those attending the concert. The public applauded her gesture and Saiz jokingly asked that she not be denounced for it.

Regarding the incident in Murcia, the local police of the city indicated after the events that there was no type of political instruction that incited the action, which was carried out by a single agent “on his own account”. The police force announced the opening of an investigation to clarify the facts, but there were also responses from the organization of the event. Jesús Costa, president of the 'Don't pribes' collective, announced that he would file a complaint with the Hate Crimes Prosecutor's Office.

The event generated a wave of tension and indignation on social networks, in the face of this alleged misplaced and disproportionate action by a self-employed police officer. Rocío Saiz herself denounced the events through Instagram, showing herself fed up with everything: “I no longer have fun. I don't want to put the body anymore. Let others put it. Let others fight. Let's see how many get ahead to truly fight for our rights. How many".
