Isabel Pantoja's widow's pension revealed for the death of Paquirri

Isabel Pantoja, always in the public eye, has been a topic of conversation on the Antena 3 program 'And now Sonsoles', as they revealed a little-known aspect of her life: her widow's pension after the death of her husband, Francisco Rivera. 'Paquirri', in 1984.

As discussed in the Atresmedia program, the pension figure is surprisingly low compared to others, amounting to only 206.98 euros. In fact, lawyer Leire Ecenarro explained that this amount depends on the contribution base that the bullfighter declared in Social Security, which could explain the discrepancy with other higher pensions.

The process for Pantoja to enjoy this pension was not free of bureaucratic difficulties, as journalist Paloma García Pelayo pointed out. There was a period in which the tonadillera could not receive this subsidy due to administrative problems, but after resolving them, she managed to retroactively receive 783.57 euros for three months.

The issue became more complex when it was revealed that, after leaving prison and returning to public life, Pantoja applied for the pension again and was granted it again. This event coincided with her return to the media and the signing of a million-dollar contract to appear on television.

Despite receiving this pension, Isabel Pantoja has proven not to depend on it to cover her basic needs, thanks to her successful musical career and her income from other projects. This suggests that while the pension is part of her financial situation, it is not a determining factor in her livelihood, at least in recent decades.
