Inmaculada Casal, María del Monte's wife, details the horror they experienced after the assault on their home: "It has been a traumatic experience"

María del Monte and her wife, Inmaculada Casal, are going through a most delicate moment. The couple experienced a most terrifying scene: they were sleeping peacefully in their room when they heard a noise and were surprised by five hooded men.

As the singer has revealed, the assailants forced the couple to hand over all their valuables: "I don't wish this situation on anyone," del Monte reveals. On the other hand, her wife, Inmaculada Casal, has decided to come clean: "María spoke yesterday because she has a lot of respect for you and the work you are doing, but she did not want this to come out," she confesses.

The journalist and the singer still do not believe that they have been victims of a robbery in their own home: "We are in shock, we are horrified, we do not sleep. They have attacked my house, my room, my privacy," reveals Casal.

Likewise, the couple points out that the assailants have stolen all valuables: "They have taken everything in our lives that we have had with all our love (...) We have lived here for 24 years. We never thought that this would hurt us "It could happen to us because we are normal people. We neither live in a luxury urbanization nor do we earn millionaire figures. We are not artists or footballers who earn a lot of money," says Casal.

The couple assures that they will invest their money in "making a bunker" so as not to have to go through something similar: "This has been horrible, it has been a traumatic experience. That you are sleeping and you wake up by a noise and see five hooded men in your house and force you to give them everything you have".

Fortunately, neither of them has suffered physical damage: "The most important thing and thank God we are safe and sound." Likewise, the couple will leave the investigation in the hands of the police: "We have to park and let justice and the investigation work."
