"I was never diagnosed": Shaila Dúrcal congratulates Sonsoles Ónega when talking about mental health

Sonsoles Ónega spoke this Tuesday on the set of Antena 3 Television with Shaila Dúrcal, daughter of the legendary singer Rocío Dúrcal and Junior. During the talk, in addition to talking about the figure of her mother and the importance of her professional career, the presenter also wanted to delve into the topic of mental health.

However, the interpreter preferred to cut short one of the statements made by the journalist about alleged eating disorders suffered and make her situation clear. Something that left Ónega somewhat disconcerted.

It happened towards the end of the interview, and once Shaila Dúrcal talked about her parents and her career. At that moment, Sonsoles Ónega wanted to talk about mental health. "You've had your ups and downs with eating disorders that you've overcome..." the presenter began by saying.

To which the singer responded by cutting such a statement short and replying with: "I don't like to call them that, because in reality because I have never actually been diagnosed with anything, then it cannot be said that I have had an eating disorder. "I've had bad living habits, eating habits, so to speak."

"Sometimes it's midnight, I feel like a sandwich to give you a stupid example. But I've struggled a lot with that too because it's linked to the emotional part," Dúrcal confessed, talking about what his life is like on tour. "So I do share that, my battles of going up and down in weight, because I have a closet very full of sizes," he said.

For this reason, Sonsoles Ónega spoke about the responsibility that must exist when talking about diets, and here the singer continued telling her experience in this regard. "This is very important and there has been a lot of taboo over so many years about seeking help in that sense, psychologically and whatever helps you," she asserted.

"And I think it is something very nice to have reached this point of being able to share it because I know that there are many people who follow me and there are people who struggle the same daily and do not know how that moment of change, and if I can be of help "I always share it," he concluded.
