Few people knew the real reason why her husband has been missing from public life for more than a year. In an attempt to be clear with her followers, Pérez explained that Canut suffered cryptococcal meningitis that has left her with serious consequences. In addition, he shared that they suffered a lot until they found the correct diagnosis: "Luis started having very bad headaches in March. We went to the emergency room and they told him it was a tension headache due to stress." After taking medication, the couple had He had to return to the emergency room in a matter of hours because the pain did not stop increasing: ''We were going back and forth to the emergency room for nine days.''

Finally, the doctors decided to admit Canut and discovered that it was not a headache. ''The days go by and in short: she has cryptococcal meningitis, that is, she has an infection in the brain due to yeast," the woman explained to the magazine.

The Valencian was hospitalized for more than 4 and a half months. Currently, as Patricia has expressed, Canut "does not see from one eye and has no frontal vision from the other." However, he can walk: "He already walks, but he left in a wheelchair, without any stability, and weighed 52 kilos."

The communicator has also revealed that the disease affected his mind and that for a time he "stopped being him", but that he has now returned to being the same as always (not counting the obvious physical changes he has experienced).
