First words of María Jiménez's son after his mother's death: "He has not suffered"

The death of María Jiménez has shocked the world of music and society in general. The singer died early Thursday morning at the age of 73, surrounded by her family and close friends at her home in Triana (Seville).

"With deep sadness and pain in our hearts, today we say goodbye to María Jiménez, a woman loved and respected for her unwavering commitment to her family, friends and admirers. An indomitable spirit, an overwhelming personality, a strong and brave woman who fought against all odds. adversity beyond imagination," expressed a statement issued by his son Alejandro Jiménez.

The mortal remains were in the funeral home on SE-30 in Seville, waiting to be transferred to one of the rooms of the city's Town Hall to celebrate the funeral chapel. On that journey, it was the actress's son who wanted to offer her first words. "Thank you for being here," he began to say.

"We did not imagine that this would happen so quickly. At least she has not suffered and has had a dignified death. She has not suffered and now we are going to the town hall," he wanted to make it clear to all the media present.

Right after, Alejandro Sancho was asked how he spent the summer with his mother. Despite everything being happy, remembering the moments, María Jiménez's son was forceful: "It was a great summer, we had a great time. See you at the town hall."

And her friends and Francisco Moreno, her representative, wanted to make it clear that they do not want to say goodbye to her surrounded by sadness, something that she herself would not have wanted. For this reason, her son has decided to adopt a strengthened attitude.

Even so, Alejandro Sancho has not been able to avoid a broken voice for the Espejo Público program. “I'm a little in shock. The important thing is that María has not suffered. He came to the hospital a few days ago for a check-up and has held up until now,” he began to explain.

“He had been with us all summer, a pleasant summer, with his grandchildren, having a good time, going out to eat and he lasted until he came in for a check-up and in the last few days he has gotten worse. “It was a bit of a shock. I didn't expect it to be like this,” he continued, unable to help but get emotional.
