On the night of Wednesday, November 22, 2023, TikTok Spain held its third edition of the awards, an evening dedicated to highlighting the diversity and exceptional talent of the Spanish community on the well-known video platform. The gala brought together leading figures from entertainment, sports, comedy and more, with the promise of exciting surprises.
With eight categories ranging from Entertainment to Social Impact, and individual awards in areas such as Public Figure and TikTok Star of the Year, the platform allowed its own users to vote for their favorite creators, thus highlighting the active participation of the community in the selection of the winners.
Fernando Alonso, the renowned Asturian driver and double Formula 1 world champion, emerged as the winner in the outstanding category of 'Public Figure of the Year'. Although he could not attend the event in person due to professional commitments, Alonso sent a message of gratitude through a recorded video, where he shared his joy at receiving the coveted award.
In his own words, Alonso expressed: "Hello everyone, I would like to be with you, but professional commitments do not allow me to be there. I wanted to thank the award on the entertainment platform like TikTok and it makes me very happy to receive this award."
