Feliciano López leaves a preview of his next participation in 'El Desafío' with an exhibition challenge

Feliciano López is one of the most recognized tennis players on the Spanish sports scene in the last 25 years. The Toledo native went on to accumulate 7 titles on the ATP singles circuit and another three in doubles, in addition to winning the Davis Cup four times with the Spanish team. However, his television side is becoming relatively well known for some time now, since he appeared as one of the masked singers on The Masked Singer.

On this occasion, the athlete wanted to give Antena 3 viewers a preview of what awaits them in the near future. Feli is one of the many names included in the list of contestants for the fifth season of El Desafío, but while that moment does not arrive he has taken a stroll through the fourth. Roberto Leal, the contestants and the jury have welcomed who would be their special judge for the night.

However, Alba Carrillo's former teammate wanted to go one step further and test himself with the game through an exhibition challenge. The challenge was to balance on a large wooden board located on top of a wheel, in the company of his coach and with the aim of extinguishing all the lit torches around him. A test whose focal point would be the tennis player's legs, accustomed to running on the different surfaces of the discipline.

Feliciano and his coach, who also had the disadvantage of weighing 14 kilos less than him, had to coordinate to position themselves at opposite ends of the board, step by step, without falling to the ground. Once in the corresponding corner, both had to hold one of the four torches and advance to the opposite end of the rectangle, depositing the fire in a drum to put it out.

The first round passed without problems, while the second left a point of suspense on the part of the tennis player. López needed a few extra steps before obtaining the second torch, before both tried to return to the center again. It was at this moment when the scale was about to touch the ground, but both managed to maintain balance and put out the flames, lifting everyone present.

The program's X (Twitter) profile shared the video of the moment during the evening, reaching more than 2,500 views in just over 15 minutes. The reactions have not been long in coming from users either. “They were one euro short of losing the test”, “This test was difficult, the difference in weight and the balance…” or “Not even San Pedro can take away Feliciano's victory in the fifth edition” been some of the most notable comments.
