'Espejo Público' registers Gema López as co-presentator after the end of 'Sálvame'

Although the new television season has officially started, the different networks in our country and their programs continue to surprise us with last-minute signings and additions.

Espejo Público, a program from the Atresmedia communications group that features Susanna Griso on a daily basis, has hired journalist and television collaborator Gema López to co-present a part of the magazine.

María Patiño's friend will present the heart section of the morning show, which is called "More Mirror." López will share the stage with two greats of the small screen: Susanna Griso and Miquel Valls, another of the recent signings of the orange channel.

The former collaborator of Sálvame has been in charge of revealing the news to the public through a video that was broadcast on today's program. ''Hello everyone, I'm Gema López and I'm here to tell you some super news. Starting next Monday (September 11) we will see each other every day in the More Mirror section co-presenting the issues of the heart,'' the journalist explained before issuing a warning to Susanna Griso: ''Prepare yourself.''

As the presenter of the format later explained, Espejo Público has been searching for Gema López for months, who has proven to be a 'tough nut to crack' and a tough woman. ''How lucky to have her here. She has been a difficult signing, eh? We have been fighting for her for a long time. I can provide proof!''

The rest of the collaborators present reacted with applause to the announcement of the new signing and let it be known that Gema "doesn't miss anything." Furthermore, the program has promised that López will arrive at the newly renovated Antena 3 set with "somewhat strong spleen in his arm." The communicator thus joins the list of Mediaset España workers who have signed on for the current affairs, events and social chronicle space:  Miquel Valls, Laura Fa, Paloma García Pelayo, Beatriz Cortázar, Alonso Caparrós, etc.

When the new leadership of Mediaset España announced that the program Sálvame was going to be canceled after 14 years of broadcast and leadership in the afternoons of Telecinco, the streaming platform Netflix decided to sign some of its most legendary collaborators for a docuseries.

Thanks to this project, Belén Esteban, Víctor Sandoval, Kiko Matamoros, Kiko Hernández, Chelo García Cortés, Lydia Lozano, Terelu Campos and María Patiño traveled to Miami to record the piece. As Belén Esteban revealed in the photocall of an event, the docureality will premiere next October.
