The Italian artist caught the attention of his fans and the entire Internet after being spotted on a Sydney beach with actress Dove Cameron. The 27-year-old native of Bainbridge Island, Washington, is known for her roles in Disney Channel projects such as the series Liv and Maddy or the Descendants film trilogy.
Damiano and Dove were captured in a series of photographs in which they were seen hugging and even kissing in Australia. The images were first published by the Italian magazine Chi Magazine, and several sources explain that this would not be the only place where they had been seen. They point to cities like Paulo, Brazil or New York as meeting points between the two, suggesting that the relationship has been brewing for some time behind the public's back.
In addition to being an actress, Dove Cameron also shares other common interests with Damiano David such as music, being a singer and songwriter herself. Her dual role as twins Liv and Maddie Rooney on the Disney Channel series earned her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance in a Children's Program. In more commercial cinema, she has appeared in films such as Barely Lethal, Good Mourning or Vengeance.
This would be the first romantic relationship in which Damino David is involved after his controversial breakup with model Giorgia Soleri this past summer. After a 6-year relationship together, it ended irrevocably after a notorious incident in a restaurant in Formentera. It was there where the Italian was caught on video kissing Martina Taglienti when he still maintained his active relationship with Soleri.
“I am very sorry that this video has come to light, it was not how I wanted to handle the situation and it was my mistake. I hope this does not affect Georgia's image and that they can respect this moment,” Damiano explained in the video he published to announce her breakup. Since then, he and Taglienti would have met at the occasional romantic dinner, but these photographs denote a change in the situation.
