The eternal Joanie from Mad Men, a character for which she received no less than six Emmy nominations, said "I do" to her partner of four years, the cameraman and director George Bianchini. She didn't do it just any way, but she celebrated her wedding in style in a privileged place: one of Napoleon Bonaparte's refuges.
Specifically, in the Napoleon House, in the French Quarter; a building that was offered to the emperor himself as a gesture of hospitality and escape by Nicholas Girod in 1812, then mayor of the city. A beautiful residence to which, however, Bonaparte never arrived, since he died in Saint Helena only three days before. However, "her" house of his remained there, in his name and ready to receive guests for years to come.
As reported by People exclusively, the actress and Bianchini married in the historic enclave last Saturday, April 20, surrounded by friends as famous as the designer Christian Siriano, the actress Mar Whitman, the model Coco Rocha and the singer Retta; as well as Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner.
The bride was also radiant in a bohemian-style lace dress designed by Londoner Katya Katya. At her side, equally stylish, was her husband, in a brown four-piece suit and no tie.
A ceremony - celebrated by the singer of the legendary band Garbage, Shirley Manson, a close friend of the actress - that perfectly adapted to the charm of the place, respecting its French, Cuban and Spanish traditions.
"I just married two wonderful people who are madly in love and everything was romantic and how it should be," the Garbage singer wrote on her Instagram account, just after the ceremony, posing for a photograph with her husband, the producer Billy Bush.
After the ceremony, the couple took their guests to celebrate the wedding in the French Quarter, as shown in some of the videos that Christian Siriano shared on his Instagram Stories.
What it is unknown if they saw was the famous ghost of the Napoleon House, since the place is known for the spirit that lives there, not very kind to those who speak ill of the dead - especially near the restaurant area. This is the second marriage for Christina Hendricks, who was already married to her previous partner, Geoffrey Arend, from 2009 to 2019. It was a year after her divorce from Arend when she met her current husband, with whom she worked while filming the series Netflix Good Girls.
