Cher's son goes all out against his mother and accuses her of "kidnapping" in the battle for her guardianship

Last December, Cher filed for legal custody of her 47-year-old son, Elijah Blue Allman. The singer thus sought to be the guardian and administrator of her assets and resources, given the alleged addiction and mental health problems of her son - born as a result of her marriage to the composer Gregg Allman -, which made him incapable .

At the beginning of January, the singer received the first refusal from the Los Angeles Court due to a documentation problem. However, a second hearing scheduled for March 6 will decide the future of the artist's son, who is not wasting any time and is throwing all his might against his mother, whom she even accuses of "kidnapping." ".

An issue that already arose last October, after Allman's wife, Marieangela King, identified her as the author of a "plan" to kidnap their son and force him to undergo rehabilitation treatment against his will. .

This is explained in the new documents presented to the Los Angeles Court, where they say that Elijah Allman would have been "kidnapped" from the hotel room where he was and where he had been staying for seasons to fight his addictions. In October 2022, four men allegedly broke in and "forced" Allman to leave, and he was transferred to Mexico against his will.

According to King, everything would have been orchestrated by the artist, who under the pretext of Allman undergoing alternative and holistic therapy would have taken her son to a center that offered a program more similar to a prison, of which he did not. I could escape.

As King explains, she was the one who had to travel to the neighboring country to "rescue Elijah from the prison that his mother had planned" and where he remained for two months, until Mexican federal agents transferred him to the border.

Faced with harsh accusations, Cher has flatly denied that any of this took place. However, her daughter-in-law insists: she is precisely the artist who would not be able to manage anything, much less as anyone's legal guardian. According to King, the artist is "manic depressive", and she would have serious mental problems.

Allman has rejected her mother's request from the beginning, ensuring that there is no reason why the artist should access her assets or manage her assets. "I have been clean and sober from substances for more than 90 days," he said in court during the first hearing. "I am fully capable and committed to managing the money I receive from the trust left to me by my late father."
