Carlos Sobera's new format on Telecinco after his success with 'First Dates'

Telecinco continues to reveal new formats for the television schedule for the next season. The new era has begun for the Mediaset group. The company is looking for a change in order to be able to lead in the audience data after a few difficult months. After canceling two of its most mythical programs, Sálvame and Viernes Deluxe, Telecinco has been announcing some of the new programs for next September. One of the last ones will be hosted by Carlos Sobera, who has achieved great success in recent years with his First Dates on Cuatro. A success that he hopes to repeat with this space.

As we said, Mediaset is studying how to recover that audience that has given them so much success in recent years. It is being a stage of many changes, and to recover the good data, one of the classic programs, Big Brother VIP, returns to Telecinco, and it will be from the hand of Marta Flich. On the other hand, and as it was revealed a few months ago, Sálvame will be replaced by Ana Rosa Quintana and her AfternoonAR. In this way, the veteran presenter will leave the mornings, the time slot that she has occupied for nineteen seasons.

But Flich and Ana Rosa are not the only presenters who have already gotten down to work to get their formats off the ground. And it is that, according to what has been known in the last hours, Carlos Sobera will be another of the prominent faces next September. The Basque presenter will be at the controls of a new program on the main Mediaset channel. After five seasons at the controls of First Dates in Cuatro, and after presenting a daily Survivors gala, Sobera will try to capture the audience's attention with a new format.

It is a program related to music and entertainment, called The musical of your life. It is a Belgian format that last year won the International Award for Best Factual Entertainment Format, so the chain has decided to bet on it in this new era. The format will be set in a real theater in which, every week, a tribute will be paid to a celebrity from our country.

The artists who are invited to this format will be interviewed together with the presenter. In addition, among the public there will be some of his family and friends who will recall important moments of the artist, turned into plays. This is a totally different format to what has been seen so far, although it will not be the only one related to the world of entertainment, since the chain has announced that it will also recover its already mythical Got Talent for next September.

As we said, these have been months of many changes in the communication group. The cancellation of Sálvame y su Deluxe caused a great deal of criticism from those followers of both formats. Finally, the program where Belén Esteban and Kiko Matamoros collaborated, among many others, came to an end on June 23. Now eight of their usual faces are filming a reality show with Netflix, while Mediaset is looking for a new direction.
