First Dates has become the ideal place for thousands of people to try to find love. The Cuatro dating show presented by Carlos Sobera has been broadcast for more than eight years and, since then, viewers of the dating-show can enjoy numerous dates every night between different diners with a wide variety of developments and outcomes.
But although the objective of the program is for all its diners to have an unparalleled evening and, if possible, find their soul mate, the truth is that Cuatro's viewers are more than used to seeing a multitude of disappointments and confrontations between diners. And although the Mediaset space has broadcast all kinds of quotes, it seems that the worst quote from First Dates never saw the light of day.
This is what the presenter said this Wednesday in a recent interview on Cadena Ser de Catalunya. ''The worst date was between two boys, one was from the PP and the other from Podemos, that was extraordinary,'' he began by saying. ''It went viral,'' declared the presenter. ''No, it didn't go viral because we couldn't broadcast it. Imagine what happened,'' the presenter revealed.
After this curious revelation, Sobera began to explain the reasons why it was impossible to broadcast the famous event on television. ''The PP boy arrived first, who was very polite. But the boy who voted for Podemos, I say it that way because it is like that, I don't want to say anything politically with this, he had made it clear that he did not want to flirt, marry, or sleep with someone who was from the Popular Party,' he explained.
But when the young man discovered that his date was from the PP, sparks flew. ''I said that we had to tell him from the first moment and when he found out he became angry. And from then on the situation was absolutely indomitable. "So I told them that the best thing was for everyone to go home and sign up for Tinder or something because it was clear that it was impossible here," Sobera said.
In addition, the Survivors presenter confessed that politics often influenced dating too much. ''We become radicalized, but getting to know each other, having dinner or having something to drink doesn't have to influence that much either,'' he concluded.
