Bárbara Rey points to Mediaset after her son's controversial interview on the network: "They are going to destroy him"

The media war between Ángel Cristo Jr. and his mother, Bárbara Rey, continues to be one of the main topics of today. Last Friday, November 23, the son of the tamer and the star gave an interview to the new Telecinco program, ¡De friday!, presented by Santi Acosta and Beatriz Archidona. During the interview, the actress's son revealed some of his darkest moments from his youth, such as the problems that both his mother and his father had with drugs.

To this hard and unexpected blow we must add the recent death of her brother, with which Bárbara Rey has appeared completely broken and devastated before the media. Now, several days after everything that happened, the actress wanted to break her silence this afternoon on the Sonsoles Ónega program.

The actress began her speech by thanking her for the support she had received after the death of her brother. ''I have tried to always be by her side because she has been a person who has suffered a lot with illnesses,'' she commented. ''I'm bad, sad and nothing wrong. I have never done a montage,' she pointed out.

''I have always gotten along very well with my children, there have been small problems like in all homes. But for Sofía as well as for me, she has seen something that has surprised us, although she had reasons to think that she could do something like that, but not something so unpleasant,' she confessed about her when interviewed by her son. ''I never thought she was going to hurt me, I thought she was going to tell some anecdotes, but not do this. Because I'm not going to brag, but as a mother I have had defects like any mother can have, but my children have been everything to me. And I have made mistakes but so that they can move forward and not lack anything,'' the star stated.

Furthermore, Barbará Rey continued to insist that she had never staged or invented anything, despite the mistakes she may have made. Likewise, the actress made it clear that she was not going to speak ill of her son because "he will continue to be her son until he leaves this world and he will be forever."

Sonsoles Ónega insisted and asked Bárbara Rey why she was so afraid that her son would be hurt. ''I'm not going to try to clean up my image and fear, yes, I'm used to dealing with the media because of my profession. My daughter does the same, because she has a skill and she is very transparent and says what she feels, but my son is an introverted person. I've never seen him talk like that. Ángel is not ready,' she declared.

But his statements took on a more serious tone when he pointed directly to the upper echelons of Mediaset. ''Besides, we all know, especially because of the place where he made these statements, how they work there and how they have worked, they want to wash his image, but in a very bad way. I know the ways they respond when they squeeze someone. Since I know the environment, I am afraid (...) And we must never forget the name of the president, not of Spain,' he asserted.

The presenter claimed that the actress's words hinted at possible ''revenge'' on the part of the audiovisual group. ''What you are saying is that they are going to destroy you, through your son,'' said Sonsoles Ónega. ''Not me, they are going to destroy him,'' responded Bárbara Rey.

Finally, one of the collaborators asked the star if the recent interview was going to interfere with the current relationship she had with her granddaughter. ''I haven't had it easy to see my granddaughter for a long time, I hope it's the opposite because I'm not going to miss my granddaughter,'' she concluded.
