Dancing with the stars, the new Telecinco program in which celebrities and choreographers will work together with the aim of being the best dancer, now has seven contestants confirmed by the network. After names like Elena Tablada, Adrián Lastra or Sheila Casas, the latest to join has been the model Athenea Pérez.
The 27-year-old from Murcia won the title of Miss Universe Spain in 2023, a competition in which she faced candidates from up to seventeen different provinces in the country. This milestone marked her rise to fame, something that has now also earned her signing for the new format that Mediaset will premiere next Saturday, January 13.
The model assures that she comes to Dancing with the Stars "to win", as she confirmed in her presentation video. "Competition fills me, it fills my soul, and I also love dancing," she declared before the cameras.
As proof that dancing is another of the disciplines that marks Athenea's life, the young woman has assured that she has been doing "heels" for two years, a type of dancing in heels." In addition, she has revealed another of her great professional secrets: "I have a degree in reggaeton," she says, laughing.
Despite already having choreography skills, Athenea Pérez has stated that she wants to take risks and try herself in other dance styles during her participation in Dancing with the Stars. "I feel like taking a risk with the contemporary, it really catches my attention," she says in the same piece welcoming the format.
Under the presentation of Jesús Vázquez and Valeria Mazza, the new Telecinco program will feature the participation of 13 famous faces, of which a large number of names are already known. Miguel Torres, Mala Rodríguez, Elena Tablada, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada and Sheila Casas are the characters confirmed by Mediaset to date, and now joined by Athenea Pérez.
