Martiño Rivas and Antonio Resines seem to have become the image of a new fraud that is proliferating on the Internet. In the last few hours, X (formerly Twitter) has shown countless ads with both actors as the main protagonists.
In these advertisements, the interpreters promote false investments in cryptocurrencies through fraudulent links that impersonate the most popular media in our country. Quite a scam for which the artists have not given permission. We tell you more below.
The first to become the face of the Bitcoin scam was Martiño Rivas. The tweet shows an image of the Galician sitting on the set of Movistar Plus' La Resistencia, with statements in which he claims to be earning "an extra 128,000 euros every month."
“The official website of Quantum AI claims that it can generate high profits for any user by running a unique trading algorithm,” write these websites, which are dedicated to scamming users.
In order to make the fraud seem more truthful, the links use the El País logo, and simulate the design of its website. However, we can verify that it is a fraud by looking at the URL used, since it begins with the domain clickinvestlab.click and has no connection with the official site of the aforementioned portal.
Rivas is not the only victim. In the last few hours, Antonio Resines' interview in La Resistencia has also been used as bait. Both are said to have thanked “the creators of Quantum AI for drastically improving people's financial situation” through an algorithm that “allows the user to trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.” This is totally false, since the interpreters have not mentioned these methods of making money at any time.
At the moment, neither Rivas nor Resines have given statements on the matter.
