In early April, the news broke that the businesswoman was up to something related to the fashion industry and many pointed to a future launch of her "clothing and jewelry firm." But Jolie didn't want to play at becoming a great designer, like Victoria Beckham or Rihanna did before, if she didn't want to help the hardworking hands behind every little work of art.
The businesswoman explains that “Atelier Jolie is born out of an appreciation and deep respect for the many designers and makers I have worked with over the years, a desire to make use of high-quality vintage material and all that underrated material, and also to be part of a movement to cultivate more self-expression.”
Why buy someone else's design, when you can create it yourself? –Jolie questions the curious navigators who want to know what is behind her atelier. The actress says that during her long career she has had the opportunity to play with fashion, even design her own clothes and learn about shapes with some of the best tailors.
