Ana Rosa's nephew highlights the low ratings of his aunt's program: "What a losing week you've had"

The start of the television season is being tough for Mediaset España. The communication group has tried to create new spaces to attract the attention of viewers and has even moved Ana Rosa Quintana to the afternoons, but it seems that nothing can stop the bad streak in audiences that the group of channels is going through.

This afternoon it was made public that the leaders of Telecinco have decided to cancel Cuentos Chinos, the program by Jorge Javier Vázquez that premiered less than a month ago on the national network due to the poor results obtained these weeks.

The news has caught thousands of fans of the interview format by surprise, although popular opinion agrees with the channel's leadership and thinks that the television space in which Susi Caramelo collaborated was not working as it should.

Although the poor audience data that Cuentos Chinos had in prime time access was more than notable, another program that fails to lead its slot and that often becomes the second or third option in its schedule is TardeAR, the new afternoon show by Ana Rosa Quintana.

The former presenter of The Ana Rosa Program decided to leave her successful program and take on a new challenge, something that has not gone very well. After several weeks of uninterrupted broadcast, Quintana's space has established itself on the grid and has found its audience, but it remains far from the leadership.

During the last few days, the current affairs program has settled for third place, since there are other television offers such as Y Ahora, Sonsoles (Antena 3) or La Promesa (TVE) that stand out and are more liked by the audience. Last Wednesday, September 27, the format in which Mario Vaquerizo and Vicky Martín Berrocal collaborate signed a new historical minimum: a 9.8% screen share.

One of the novelties of this new magazine is that Ana Rosa has her nephew Kike Quintana on set some days. The presenter's relative sometimes appears on screen and gives her opinion on different topics. The young man's participation has been controversial, since he shares a special relationship with his aunt and they communicate through jokes and taunts.

Yesterday, the communicator's relative set the networks on fire after telling live a family anecdote in which he explained that Quintaba had lost the game of petanque. The controversy came when, at the end of the story, he uttered a phrase in reference to the bad audience data in the space: ''I beat you at petanque. "It's what a losing week you've had." Faced with these words, the presenter seemed unconcerned and responded nonchalantly: "Not always."
