An aspiring 'Masterchef' denounces that the casting was a hoax: "It was a real shame"

Yesterday the eleventh edition of the most famous cooking show on television started: Masterchef. In addition, this year TVE has decided to bring news, since it will broadcast two weekly programs, so there are twice as many contestants and twice as many expulsions as in a normal edition. The decision to carry out a double weekly broadcast has not been liked by many fans of the cooking talent who have complained on social networks.

Yesterday's program showed the 60 applicants who cooked to convince the judges that they were deserving of the white apron to thus become full-fledged Masterchef contestants. This edition has broken all casting records with more than 70,000 people.

Faced with the massive wave of participants in the casting, many people were left at the gates of being able to live the television experience. This is the case of Cristina Ortiz, a young woman who dreamed of entering the contest, but who has uploaded a video to her TikTok account where she narrates that she has ended up very disenchanted with the program.

''I brought a bacon from heaven, a recipe from my great-grandmother. They brought a group of tasters to act as a jury, but I can tell you that this was pure show,'' defends the girl in the video. ''They were doing some interviews, but they went directly to those people who already knew they were going to fuck,'' she says. In addition, she has complained that they were standing for many hours in the gardens of the Royal Palace waiting for the verdict while the team went to eat, an absolute shame.

Hours later, the team returned and the moment they had been waiting for so long arrived: the distribution of the wooden spoons that would indicate who would move on to the next phase. ''I was determined before going to the casting,'' he says.

Finally, Cris shares that more people besides her experienced how the program gave spoons to people whose dishes had been rejected: "They even gave some who had not shown up for the casting that day."
