Last Sunday, April 14, the Barcelona Urban Police arrested four individuals accused of trying to rob a person of a luxury watch valued at 120,000 euros in the Ciutat Vella district.
This news has confirmed what many already knew, the city of Barcelona is suffering a wave of crimes related to theft that is making many of its citizens nervous, tense and worried.
Regarding the arrest mentioned above, the relevant authorities published on social networks that they had been able to find the alleged criminals thanks to citizen collaboration, since a man held one of the thieves until the police team appeared at the scene of the robbery: ' 'Yesterday morning in Barceloneta a citizen prevented the theft of a luxury watch valued at €120,000 and held one of the 4 perpetrators until we arrived. In the afternoon, thanks to the description of the other 3, we found them and stopped in El Born.
According to what has been learned, the testimony of the person who cornered one of the perpetrators of the crime and the description given by the victim of the crime were key to arresting the other accomplices who had managed to escape from the place where they assaulted the owner of the clock.
Alfonso Arús and the rest of his collaborators have echoed this wave of crimes that Barcelona is suffering and have commented on the news in a worried tone, but without abandoning the sense of humor that so characterizes the La Sexta magazine.
Angie Cárdenas' husband has given his opinion in space and has questioned whether the numbers of stolen original watches are so high, since not everyone can afford such extremely expensive pieces: ''One day it will be known, I am convinced, the real extent of luxury watch thefts.
