Alaska clarifies the reason why she did not want to be a mother: "I am not willing"

Alaska and Mario Vaquerizo form one of the best-known couples on the Spanish social scene. Although they have been together for more than two decades, the couple has never had children, something they have talked about on numerous occasions. Alaska, who made The Road Home with Albert Espinosa, has spoken again about the lack of offspring.

The interviewer and the singer were reviewing some old trading cards and movies that Alaska liked very much when she was a child. This prompted Alaska to emphasize that she had always "found children hateful" until she became an adult. "Now I have affection for children," she clarified to the laughter of her companion.

Espinosa, who did not want to be left with doubt, addressed the question of motherhood: "If you say that you love children, how could you not have wanted to be a mother." Alaska was very clear about the answer: "It's one thing to love children and another to want to be a mother."

In this sense, the artist has assured that what she really likes are daycares: "Seeing them, playing with them, spoiling them and, then, I return them to their parents and let them raise them." Following this, Alaska wanted to make things very clear: "Children have to be raised and I am not willing."

At the beginning of February, the TardeAR collaborator also spoke about motherhood. In a discussion about how children affected marriage, Alaska assured that she had not been a mother because she preferred "not to have problems."

However, there was a time when Alaska seriously considered becoming pregnant. "At 31 years old, she asked me if I want to be a mother, I had a deep question and decided definitely not," she said in an interview in which she assured that she saw being a mother as "an obligation."

Mario Vaquerizo, in Blood Ties, also gave his opinion on the matter. According to him, if the marriage had not taken the step it was because of "a question of responsibility and lack of time." Additionally, Alaska said about him that she would have gotten "tired quickly" because she "doesn't have patience."
