The most popular love restaurant on the small screen closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners willing to give their all on their respective dates. But showing up for First Dates is not synonymous with finding love and many times diners end up being most disappointed.
This was the case of Sonia and Juan José. The 45-year-old single woman from Seville defined herself as a party person and a homebody at the same time. ''I would like to find someone to tickle me,'' she declared. Sonia was looking to find a man to start a monogamous relationship. ''I want a boy who likes beer and enjoys it,'' she commented.
His date was going to be Juan José, a 44-year-old from Córdoba, who claimed to be a good match. ''I'm affectionate, friendly, I have it all,'' he confessed. But as soon as he crossed the doors of the restaurant, the bachelor was going to have a gesture that Sonia was not going to like at all. And Juan José declared as soon as he sat down at the bar that he didn't like beer.
''It's a problem because I like to have a beer on Friday when I leave work or when I go to an event with my colleagues, but it has to accompany me and it doesn't accompany me,'' she stated. On the other hand, Juan José was more than happy with the single woman. ''I liked all of her,'' said the bachelor. Moments later, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening by catching up on their family surroundings.
The bachelor confessed that he had been married for less than three years and that he had an 18-year-old daughter. But his nerves played tricks on him and the bachelor forgot to tell that he had another daughter. ''I got stuck and in the end I didn't tell him,'' he said.
Furthermore, Juan José confessed that he had inherited a travel agency from his mother and that he was currently living with his sister. A revealing fact that he did not find Sonia amused at all. ''It's something that has completely scandalized me. With her age and having an 18-year-old daughter who is not independent, it seemed to me that she had nothing to do with me, "said the single woman.
At one point during dinner, Juan José brought up the topic of beer again. ''The beer is good, but I don't like the taste,'' he commented. However, this statement totally baffled the single woman. ''This man... That will be her nerves, I want to give her a margin that the boy will be otherwise,'' she confessed.
The date progressed and the single woman became more and more distant with the bachelor, since every new thing she discovered about him scared her the more. However, the bachelor was having a totally different perception of the dinner, so her final decision showed her interest in wanting to continue getting to know her. But Sonia was clear about her decision from minute one and she decided to leave the program without the company of Juan José.
