The National Police have arrested a 44-year-old man who participated in First Dates for allegedly murdering a subject in Córdoba after stabbing him multiple times in a bar in the Andalusian city, according to police sources close to the case.

The former contestant of the romantic dating program broadcast on Cuatro would have committed the violent crime after a fight in an establishment near the Plaza del Escultor García Rueda, says El Confidencial.

At first, the protagonists of this fatal outcome had begun to argue and the friction escalated until this First Dates participant decided to attack the victim with a knife several times.

Specifically, agents of the National Police speak of 27 stab wounds to the body of the assassin, who, as soon as he returned to the premises after throwing out the garbage, found the attack allegedly perpetrated by a participant in the television program.

Some customers unsuccessfully tried to help the victim and even treat him after seeing the seriousness of the injuries, but they only succeeded in making the attacker lock himself in the bar's bathroom until the police finally arrived to arrest him once and for all.

The victim died at the Reina Sofía Hospital after the brutal attack and for the moment the investigation into the murder is still open, with interviews with witnesses by the police and analysis of the recordings from the security cameras.
