A former roommate of Brad Pitt reveals that the actor could go days and days without showering

Surprising anecdotes about the beginnings of stars are often found in the halls of Hollywood history. On this occasion, actor Jason Priestley, known for his role as Brandon in the 90s series Feeling Like Living, has shared an anecdote about the less glamorous days of Oscar winner Brad Pitt.

In a recent interview on Live with Kelly and Mark, Priestley explained that the two shared a roof in 1987 in a small apartment in North Hollywood, long before their names were synonymous with success in the film mecca. The two young actors lived on a tight budget, subsisting on ramen noodles, private label beer, and Marlboro Light cigarettes. But the most surprising thing about their roommate relationship was the unusual competition they had: seeing who could go the longest without showering.

"There were three of us in a two-bedroom apartment in a really horrible part of Los Angeles," said the two-time Golden Globe nominee. "We used to compete to see who could go the longest without showering or shaving," Priestley admitted with a laugh. nostalgic "Brad always won. Brad always won," he added.

This peculiar personal hygiene competition seems to have been a ritual between the two, although Priestley stated that today he doubts that Brad would continue such practices. “Now I think about it and say: 'Dude... How disgusting! What were you thinking?,” he pointed out.

After living together, their careers took different directions, with Pitt conquering the big screen in Thelma and Louise and Priestley achieving fame with The Feeling. From there, the two grew apart.

“He went and was filming movies all over the world. And I was stuck in the same place, making a television show. When we both left that apartment and became strangely famous, the good group of friends we had dissipated. It was sad,” Priestley expressed about his estrangement from Pitt. Our careers took such different directions that we lost contact with each other," he concluded.
