A 'First Dates' bachelor's shocking revelation leaves his date speechless: ''You're the other one''

The most romantic restaurant on the small screen, First Dates, closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners willing to find a person with whom they could share tastes and hobbies. However, many of them end up finding someone completely opposite. Something that can sometimes become a great plus point.

Ihor, a 37-year-old professional Ukrainian pianist, living in Madrid, arrived at the restaurant confessing that he was very proud of having made his dream of playing the piano in concerts come true. ''Being a young gay boy in deep Ukraine is not easy for the simple fact that there are no references,'' he declared. He considered himself a person fond of art and was looking for a man with whom to share his favorite hobbies. ''I value sincerity and optimism,'' he said.

His date was going to be José Luis, a 33-year-old building engineer from Murcia, who is fond of board games. ''I have more than 70 board games,'' he revealed. The first impression among the singles was quite good. ''He is a tall, handsome boy... I liked him,'' Ihor stated. ''I really like light eyes. It's not the most important thing, but I especially like the looks of the light eyes,'' the Murcian said.

After exchanging their first words at the entrance of the restaurant, Laura Boado accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about what they did in their free time. But the singles were going to quickly realize that their tastes and hobbies were going to take very different paths. José Luis confessed that music was a completely unexplored world for him. ''I'm arrhythmic, even when singing I don't get the notes or the tones,'' he commented.

When it came to movies, they didn't agree either. The man from Murcia claimed to be a big fan of scary movies and the pianist confessed that he did not see anything that "would make him feel bad." The date progressed and the conversation between the singles continued to flow. But as they learned more aspects of his life, the more differences they found. The man from Murcia confessed his love for board games and the Ukrainian showed little enthusiasm for the subject. ''I find the matter quite tedious. I don't have the patience, I'd rather be learning a Schubert sonata,'' Ihor acknowledged.

As for love, Ihor left José Luis stunned by revealing that he had been married and had not yet divorced. ''Are you still married?'' the man from Murcia stressed. ''Juridically. It's funny,'' Ihor responded. ''Super funny, especially for me,'' said José Luis. ''You're the other one,'' the bachelor joked.

In the final stretch of the evening, the singles were clear that they were complete opposites. However, their great differences were not going to be a problem in continuing to get to know each other. Therefore, in the final decision, both confessed their desire to have a second meeting.
