A fellow prisoner of Daniel Sancho reveals that the chef is an idol in prison

The crime of Edwin Arrieta has become one of the most media cases in our country. The events date back to August 7, when the national and international press was completely paralyzed upon learning that Daniel Sancho, son of actor Rodolfo Sancho, had confessed to the murder and dismemberment of the body of the well-known Colombian surgeon on a Thai island.

Since then, the Spanish chef remains in provisional detention in Koh Samui prison awaiting the trial to be held. A hearing that will begin next Monday, November 13, and where the judge will let the alleged murderer know the charges against him.

If Rodolfo Sancho's son pleads guilty and acknowledges premeditated murder, his sentence could be reduced to such an extent that he could avoid the death penalty. If he decides not to testify, the procedure would be extended until the trial, which could take place next March.

This Friday, the Sonsoles Ónega program exclusively broadcast the testimony of a prisoner who was serving a sentence in the same penitentiary center as Daniel Sancho. The woman revealed to the program team what daily life was like in the Koh Samui prison and the interest that the Spanish chef aroused among the inmates of the center.

''I wanted to meet Daniel because he appeared on television and his news was very famous. So I wanted to meet him and greet him,'' the woman confessed. But meeting the Spanish chef was not going to be so easy in prison, since women and men were prohibited from interacting. ''There is a way to send messages with snacks. If the man receives the message he can also eat,' she declared. Moments later, the interviewee revealed that one of the prisoners contacted him and thanked him for the snack, assuring that she was fine.

Furthermore, according to his testimony, Daniel Sancho usually interacts with a group of foreign prisoners, who would be very well cared for by prison staff. ''They make sure they don't feel stressed,'' he said. ''They know that he is famous and people talk a lot about him. He seems very handsome and elegant to me. He is a strong, decent man. And he is also friendly,' the woman asserted.
