The economist Vicenç Oller i Company, first Minister of Industry and Energy of the Generalitat in democracy (1980-84), has died
The employers' association Foment del Treball, of which he was a leader, has advanced the news, defining Oller as "a man committed to the business and industrial fabric" and with a vision of the present and the future.
Oller's extensive professional career also highlights the presidency of the Cercle d'Economia (in two stages, between 1979 and 1980 and between 1987 and 1989), his inclusion on the board of directors of La Caixa, his time as advisor to the Government of Artur Mas, and his involvement as a member of the Catalan Society of Economics and member of the Fundació Economia i Empresa.
