This is the stylish caravan that adapts to the four seasons

Among caravanning fans, there are those who choose their mobile home based on criteria as different as size, versatility or comfort. The proposal with the Dutch seal Lume Traveler is a caravan intended primarily for travelers looking to explore nature without leaving the comforts of their home at any time of the year.

The Lume Traveler features a body with an original quadrangular shape, made entirely of aluminum. The intention of its designer, Hein van de Laar, was to build a recreational vehicle that looked more like a conventional home than a mobile home with nomadic overtones.

There are three different models of the Lume Traveler, which differ basically in their dimensions. The flagship model, the LT360 No.1, was the first to arrive in the sector. It is the smallest and most compact in the range, and is basically designed for weekend getaways.

The kitchen of this model is exterior and is located in the tailgate. This variant has a generous bedroom with plenty of storage space and a portable toilet. The furniture and structure are made with top quality materials and the patented folding roof allows you to sleep with views of the stars.

The second alternative in the range is the LT540 No.1, which is slightly larger and incorporates a small wet room and more storage, but keeps the kitchen outside. Finally, the LT540 Nordic is the top of the range model and is larger, sleeker and more comfortable than the previous two models.

According to its manufacturer, the Nordic was conceived as a solution to experience freedom and enjoy overnight stays outdoors during any time of the year. It is large enough, well thermally insulated and equipped accordingly to offer the best wilderness experience whether during the harsh winter or the hot summer months.

It measures 6.94 meters long (including the tow bar), 2.5 meters wide and 2.7 meters high with the hood. It weighs 2,200 kg, with a maximum payload of 2,500 kg, and rides on 16-inch wheels and a single axle.

The Nordic shares several features with the other two variants, such as a drive system that helps move the caravan to the desired parking location with the push of a few buttons, the automated opening of the roof and the combination of exterior aluminum with natural and sustainable materials from premium quality inside. For example, sheep wool is used for insulation, hardwood for furniture, and felt pockets for storing small items.

The mobile section of the roof is made of durable canvas and is equipped with a mosquito net. The interior is divided into a main bedroom, which during the day becomes a living room, and two smaller sections, one for cooking and one for the bathroom.

The vehicle has an elegant and minimalist design inspired by the style of the Nordic countries. It has a solar panel on the roof that increases autonomy outside the electrical grid and the essential appliances to feel at home.

The price of the top model of the Lume Traveler starts at 115,000 euros, excluding extras such as awnings and canvas walls. You can see the caravan in greater detail in the video that accompanies this article.
