The seventieth edition of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, which will be held between January 31 and February 4, 2024, will feature the unprecedented climb to Alto del Miserat (Alicante) as one of the key moments of the test and whose final goal will be the Port of Valencia.

With five stages with departures in Benicàssim (Castellón), Canals (Valencia), San Vicente del Raspeig (Alicante), Teulada-Moraira (Alicante) and Bétera (Valencia), the Volta debuts the ascent to Alto del Miserat, a well-known port among the local amateur, but who has never ridden in a professional event and which will be the goal of the fourth stage.

In a route that will pass through 84 Valencian towns and with a total distance of 759 kilometers, some of the best teams in the world will participate in the Volta, such as Movistar, Ineos or UAE, which in the 2023 edition had the champion of the test, the Portuguese cyclist Rui Costa.

The general director of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, former cyclist Ángel Casero, highlighted the importance of the impact of the Valencian event in statements provided by the organization.

“For a week we showed the entire world, more than 200 countries, the best of the Community. Its landscapes, its ability to host major events, the hospitality of its people and the passion of its sports fans,” commented the former winner of the Vuelta a España in 2001.

In addition, the organization also announced the route of the sixth edition of the VCV Féminas, which shares the route for another year with stage 5 of the men's event, starting in Bétera and arriving at the Port of València with the ascents to L'Oronet and Border.
