The Recuwaste congress brings together waste management professionals in Mataró

The capital of Maresme once again hosts the seventh edition of the Recuwaste congress. For two days, Mataró will be the capital of sustainable waste management.

Recuwaste is consolidated and in its seventh edition it enters the scene again with its sights set on the evolution of resources, on changes in production and consumption and on how the circular economy allows us to anticipate a more sustainable future, both for the environment as well as for the economy and society in general.

Under the slogan 'The circular economy of resources: anticiparse al futuro', the congress, promoted by Maresme Circular, the brand of the Consorcio de Residuos del Maresme, in collaboration with the Waste Agency of Catalonia and the Provincial Council of Barcelona, ​​counts also with the support of other entities such as the Environmental Forum Foundation, which acts as the scientific secretary.

Speakers such as the political economist, promoter of the group of Governments for a Wellbeing Economy (WEGo), Katherine Trebeck, as well as the director of the industrial ecology research group at the University of Zaragoza, Alicia Valero, head of the Packaging and Circular Economy of Itene, Cesar Aliaga, the person responsible for the Environment of Solidanza, Nati Yesares, or the person responsible for waste collection of the Commonwealth of the Pamplona region, Ángel Álvarez, will be in charge of sharing knowledge and strategies with attendees innovative ideas on the materials crisis, waste as resources, economic instruments in municipal waste management, industry 4.0 in waste management, as well as future technologies for decarbonization or experiences in the prevention and reuse of fractions criticisms such as textiles, disposable packaging and plastics.
