The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a man and a woman for allegedly stealing electric scooters, bicycles, mobile phones and other objects in Garraf (Barcelona), according to a statement last Friday.
In the search of a house in Sant Pere de Ribes (Barcelona), in which the agents observed the interior of the home from the outside, the two people approached the door with a bag that they tried to get rid of when they saw the agents, but these intercepted them.
The bag contained 23 cell phones, 40 watches and various jewels inside and, before an "incoherent speech" from the suspects, they were arrested and searched the house.
Inside, they found nine bicycles, six electric scooters, 12 mobile phones, televisions, jewelry, and watches, as well as marijuana, hashish, precision scales, and material for the production of drug papers for sale.
The Mossos have verified that many of these objects came from thefts in Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona) and from a robbery in a house in Calafell (Tarragona).
The detainees, aged 29 and 37, have gone to court as alleged perpetrators of six crimes of theft, a crime of robbery with internal force of the home, a crime of reception and a crime against public health.
