The indefinite strike is established in Bicing

CGT and CCOO maintain the indefinite strike in Bicing starting Tuesday, November 14 after considering the two mediations in the Department of Labor to have failed.

The unions demand a five-year agreement that includes a general salary increase in the workforce, in accordance with the increase in the cost of living, the recovery of seniority, better remuneration on weekends and holidays, and the creation of incentives additional.

"We advise Bicing users to use another means of transport on strike days, since the available bicycles may be insufficient and there could be a high number of unrepaired vehicles. It will be necessary to take alternative means of transport," the CGT has warned. this Saturday in a statement.

The union considers that a "worthy" agreement is being demanded and charges against Barcelona City Council for "the lack of dialogue." "The council should speak with the workers, who are the ones who know and suffer the reality of their work, and not only with the companies before publishing the tenders," said the CGT.

"It should also not be possible for there to be fixed amounts of wage bill in 10-year tenders, with no provision for any increase, nor for tenders not to take into account collective agreements," lamented the union, which considers that the Bicing concessionaire, The company Serveo, "earns a lot of money" and criticizes that Barcelona City Council and BSM do "advertising and many photographs" promoting a service "which clearly lacks resources."

"We ask for more economic resources, for staff to have a decent salary and conditions and for users to enjoy the adequate service they pay for," the CGT listed. The workers will gather on November 14, starting at 10:30 a.m., in the Plaza de Sant Jaume; the next day in front of the facilities of the public company in charge of the service, B:SM; and on November 16 they will return to the Plaza de Sant Jaume. For now, the strike continues indefinitely.
