With a few days left for the celebration of the 43rd edition of the March 3 Nacions by BWT, the first news of this edition are being confirmed.
In addition to the nearly 2,000 cyclists who are already registered for the event, one of the great novelties of this edition is also added, and which comes from LUMINOX: the 3 tunnels through which the march will pass will be illuminated on June 10 .
Located in the first 50 kilometers of the route, in the fast section between Puigcerdà and La Seu d'Urgell, these points provided little security to the participants.
In total, there will be 450 meters of tunnels that this year, as a novelty and for the first time, will be illuminated so that the passage of cyclists is safer and faces can be seen. In the words of Jose Hermida, organizer of the march, he stresses that "it is a request that has been made to us for a long time and this year the decision has been made to commit to it, which is very good news because for the moment the reception by part of the cyclists has been excellent”.
The March 3 Nacions by BWT is the only one in the world that travels through three countries giving a distinctive touch to each of them. The Spanish, French and Andorran Pyrenees will be covered, passing through mythical ports known as the 2,407-meter-high Port of Envalira, the highest paved mountain pass in southern Europe. All these ingredients make the cycling tour a unique concentrate: 3 countries and 140 kilometers passing through mythical mountain passes of world cycling.
Registration for the 3 Naciones is still open until June 5 or until a maximum of 2,500 numbers are reached.
