Some Basque cyclists encounter a bear at the foot of the road and this is their reckless reaction

Although out of the ordinary events do not usually occur when cycling, the truth is that you never know what you may find on the roads: from seeing a spectacular sunset to seeing yourself chased by a bear.

This last situation is unlikely, but sometimes cyclists have to face it unexpectedly. If not, tell it to a group of Basque tourists who were traveling on the roads of Transylvania (Romania) when a huge bear stood in their way.

As can be seen in the images captured by the camera of one of those present, the cyclists were crossing a wooded area when they came across a bear at the foot of the road. Faced with this obstacle, one of them points out: "you throw the bike at him", laughing, an attitude that has not been liked at all on the networks.

The images have gone viral, causing Internet users to denounce the reckless reaction of the cyclists: "The correct thing would be to say. A bear meets a road and some cyclists in the mountains," says one user.

Likewise, they have highlighted the lack of knowledge of the cyclists in the presence of the animal: "Everything is wrong. Very reckless. They get off their bikes! They have no chance to outrun the bear. And the bear is motionless, standing his ground. It didn't end in a miracle tragedy," says another Internet user.

Luckily, everything ended without injuries. The group of cyclists took advantage of the presence of a car passing through the area to cross the road, using the car as a shield. In this way, they managed to follow the path before the animal could attack.

Bears can cause chaos in urban spaces, although they usually wander through the forests. It is for this reason that many cyclists face them at some point.
