Skoda offers two bodies of the Enyaq electric SUV, both of successful design and with more than enough dimensions so that we can talk about a family car. The second body, the one in the test, is a coupe type and represents a good leap in terms of sophistication and style for a manufacturer like Skoda.

It is a spacious SUV, with an impeccable appearance, a good alternative for drivers looking for something different, that stands out from what is usual in this segment. And it is because of its design, its dynamic appearance and its undeniable coupe style.

From the outset, the Enyaq Coupé RS iV draws powerful attention. Especially by city. “It doesn't look like a Skoda,” say some curious people. Of its attractive design, the roof line that descends sharply towards the rear from the B-pillar stands out.

The curved roof integrates a panoramic glass roof as standard. It is very large and offers an unusual surface, which allows for great luminosity. And the cabin gets excessively hot when it's sunny and hot. Of course, with this striking roof it is possible to gain headroom for the rear passengers, which is always good.

Seen from the front, this RS incorporates the Crystal Face grille with 131 LED lights and a modern and technological appearance. And its exterior style cannot be overlooked by the enormous 21-inch wheels, with an aerodynamic design and size 235/45 R21.

This RS version, the most expensive and powerful, has two electric motors, one on each axle. The net capacity of the battery is 77 kWh (88 kWh gross), with an approved range (WLTP) of 522 km. Maximum power is 300 HP, with all-wheel drive and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. The maximum speed - sufficient - is not so surprising, since it is limited to 180 km/h.

And thanks to new software, the battery has a fast charging capacity of up to 135 kW. For example, it can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 29 minutes.

The second surprise occurs when accessing the driving position. The quality and feel of the materials is magnificent. Of course, Skoda being a popular and accessible brand has gone down in history.

An alternative for enthusiastic drivers and activists of 100% electric mobility, the Enyaq RS invites you to relax in its interior care from the first moment.

Another virtue is the interior space, thanks to its long wheelbase. Rear seat occupants have plenty of legroom and the trunk has a capacity of 570 liters.

On the other hand, the car can be operated intuitively using the 13-inch central infotainment screen. The 5.3-inch Digital Cockpit can be completed with the Head-up display system with augmented reality.

In the city and on urban and interurban routes it is extremely quiet and pleasant to drive. Everything happens placidly and comfortably in this electric SUV. The response is instantaneous at any time and adaptation to the driving position is immediate.

On the road you notice the weight of the batteries on the floor of the car. It exceeds two tons and inertia appears if the pace of travel is high. But at the same time, the feel of the car is very fine, with precise steering that makes driving easier.

The front sports seats invite you to take long and pleasant journeys, both due to their excellent design and the support they offer.

When driving on the road and highway, the DCC adaptive chassis system with profile selection is decisive due to the comfort and safety it provides. The driver can choose between Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Traction and a final customizable mode called Individual.

Comfort mode is ideal for traveling with the family, Eco is essential for the city, and Sport is a good experience for performance-loving drivers. Let's not forget that we have 300 HP and effective all-wheel drive that materially glues the car to the asphalt.

Also note that regenerative braking is easily activated through the steering wheel paddles. In the most intense mode, around the city, you can practically drive with just one pedal, without the need to brake. It is the way, obviously, with which we achieve greater energy recovery.

Skoda includes in the equipment all the current driving aids (ADAS) and a complete infotainment and advanced connectivity system. If the price seems high to you, there is always the possibility of opting for other versions with a single electric motor and front-wheel drive.
