Last Friday, January 5, Santander launched the new electric bicycle rental service, made up of 200 distributed in 26 pick-up and drop-off stations throughout the city, and which will be free during the first days to test its operation.

The service, called TUeBICI, was inaugurated by the mayor, Gema Igual, in an event in which she was accompanied by the Councilor for Sustainable Mobility, Agustín Navarro, and officials from the company in charge of its management. In it, the councilor recalled the rates and rules of use, such as the obligation to return the bike after two hours of rental, although there is no limit on daily use.

As for the prices, approved in the December Plenary Session, there are different options, depending on the use of the bicycles -occasional or regular-, and they range from 1.30 euros for half an hour to bonuses of 7 euros per month and 36 per year. .

The service is operational from six in the morning to twelve at night from Monday to Friday and 24 hours a day on weekends.
