Iberdrola earned 4,803 million euros in 2023, 11% more, despite a decrease in income, according to the accounts presented this Thursday by the group chaired by Ignacio Sánchez Galán.

The fall in energy prices after 2022 with skyrocketing magnitudes has been noted in billing, which falls from 53,949 million to 49,334 million, 8.6% less. In any case, the company manages to earn more due to the increase in gross margin.

“In a year of macroeconomic uncertainties, once again we have maintained our historical track record of meeting objectives, thanks to an integrated business model and our strategy focused on investments and growth in stable markets,” stated the president of Iberdrola.

In a country review, the company lost electricity and gas contracts in Spain. The former fell 3.2%, to 10.54 million, while the latter fell to 1.27 million, 6.3% less.
