Alejandro Valverde will put on a number again. His last races in 2022 showed that he was still in top form and, this year, he has been very close to the Movistar Team.
Now, the blue formation, which was already a pioneer in the creation of an eSports team, is launching the Movistar Team Gravel Squad, a group of 4 cyclists who will combine their traditional specialties with the “offroad” modality.
Ivan García Cortina, Ana Dillana and Hayley Simmonds will accompany Valverde in gravel bike races.
The 4 runners already have two dates marked on the calendar. The first will be on Sunday, April 23 in Almería, and the second, in Girona, on Saturday, April 29 at 'la Traka'.
In addition, within the telephone team, there are more versatile profiles. For example, a few months ago we also saw how Carlos Verona won a gravel race.
Now comes a new stage for Valverde. One where he will be able to compete with less pressure and, above all, continue enjoying the bike as he likes so much.
