You have twenty-nine days left

We have 29 days left. Not one more nor one less. And we must keep in mind that the last three months have been a gift. Only 29 days to find and convert into pdf the invoices for the notary, registration, management and appraisal expenses generated by the constitution of the mortgage loan that we signed before June 16, 2019 and send them, conveniently scanned, to the customer service to the client of the entity with which we closed the matter.

It is around a thousand euros for a normal mortgage and it is not asking for alms or picking fights with anyone. It is simply adhering to the ruling of the Constitutional Court that five years ago ruled that this charge was abusive and that clients have the right to claim their refund until January 23, 2024. When that day arrived and seeing that we were in the majority who did not even We had learned how stupid we were, that same court extended the deadline until April 14. Well, we have 29 days left to demand reimbursement of the total amount of these abusive expenses (only 50% from the notary and 100% of the rest), as well as the derived interest. And these, which seem silly, are what are really worth it, especially for those who closed their mortgage twenty or thirty years ago.

But it is not so easy. First, as has already been said, you have to find out and understand that this has nothing to do with the floor clause (an abuse that was globally denounced and claimed) and then arm yourself with patience. A lot of patience because although it is true that some banks act quickly, pay and are very friendly, most of them pretend that it is not with them. From the office they send you to customer service. The customer service machine tells you that this is an office thing. In the end you figure out that you have to send your claim by e-mail, but no one answers you. Then you take it to the bank and no one wants to pick it up, much less sign it, of course. And in the end you either get fed up and give up or seek legal help. There is and it is effective (but expensive, abusive?: they keep the interest). But it has already been said. You only have 29 days left.
