Xenia, Princess of Saxony, first royal to appear naked in Playboy magazine: "I'm proud"

Royalties from all over Europe, and from all over the world, are always in the spotlight of the press. And their lives are of interest, a lot, given the secrecy that they always tend to defend. Something that often ends up creating a problem for them, since the number of protocols they have means that many times the people cannot empathize with their monarchs.

However, there is always some member who decides to skip it all and live the life they want. And this is the case of Xenia Florence, 37 years old, princess of Saxony, who has not hesitated to appear naked on the cover of Playboy Germany.

Princess Xenia, born in Düsseldorf (Germany), comes from the House of Wettin, which ruled Saxony for more than 800 years. Although the kingdom disappeared, giving way to the current Free State of Saxony, the descendants of royalty are still considered aristocrats. Therefore, the controversy has been served.

And despite the controversy, she is very clear about why she decided to make the cover: to fight against the prejudices they have towards her for belonging to the monarchy. "Every woman is beautiful just as she is," she assured, wanting to vindicate her body and that of everyone.

Among other things, he wanted to make it clear that "it is not necessary" to follow trends "or undergo surgery" to please others. "I have stretch marks and I am proud to show them," she has expressed emphatically.

Although she knows that appearing naked on a cover was going to be quite an earthquake, the only thing she asks is that her family "tolerate" and "understand" everything she wants to achieve, and that they not just stick with the superficial. And for her, being a princess is a "blessing" that she has to take advantage of.

She is so sure of the steps she is taking that she believes her great-great-grandfather, Frederick Augustus III, would have "approved" of them. The monarch was the last king of Saxony, from 1904 to 1918. And although the kingship ended after her passing, Xenia continues to fight to defend her position and her ties to the House of Wettin.

And it is not the only controversy in which the princess has been involved. Florence made the leap to reality shows a while ago, and since then, she has positioned herself as a true warrior in this type of programs. "I see myself more as a kind of spy: I want to bring reality back to reality TV and at the same time show people who I really am," she said.

But not only that. Apart from her role on television and on magazine covers, the princess of Saxony is part of a pop band and has written her own autobiography, which her family did not like, where she revealed secrets of her privacy: Xenia: the life of a princess in the 21st century.
