Why do storks chase tractors?

Why do storks chase tractors? We have the answer to this question in images in this series of photographs in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos captured in Gurb and Vic, in the Osona region.

We can observe scenes of the migratory passage of the storks. After stopping in a field in search of food, behind the tractor, among the dust of the drought, they have taken flight again.

The storks that have fed on the field after chasing the tractor have ended up joining another group for their long journey to warmer lands.

We have been watching the migration of storks to the south in the Osona region for a few days, where it is quite a spectacle to see them fly forming numerous flocks of birds.

The white stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a large species of bird. Its plumage is mostly white with black on the wings. And the legs and beak of adults acquire a red color.

It measures an average of 100 and 115 cm from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail, and its wings can reach a span between 155 and 215 cm.
